Why do people choose to be a part of UUCG? For me, it is the opportunity to be in community with people who view the world with love and compassion in their hearts. It is where I am both inspired and challenged. It is also where I have fun with wonderful people. This is where I want the next generation to learn our values and to see adults modeling love and compassion for each other and the world around them. This is why I choose to be a part of UUCG, and why I pledge generously to UUCG. Why, of all places, would I give less than my highest possible contribution to insure its continued success?
Here is current status of the 2017 Pledge Drive:
35 Pledges have been received as of Nov. 1 for a total of $69,562. We have received no responses yet from 105 mailed Pledge Packets. Our pledge goal is $145,000, which would allow us to continue our current programs, to make some needed repairs to our building and parking lot, and to hire a part-time choir director. Some of you who received Pledge Packets may not be able to be active in the UUCG community right now. I hope your past affiliation with UUCG was valuable, and because you realize the importance of having this kind of faith community within Gwinnett County, you will still make a pledge.
We are all in this together. All who are currently active in UUCG are choosing to be here for your own special reasons. I hope these reasons will motivate you to make as generous a pledge as possible. However, no pledge is too small or too big. Together they add up to the success of UUCG. Please click on the link below to complete and submit the electronic Pledge Form. We need these right away so that the Board of Trustees can create a budget for the congregation to vote on Dec. 11.
