Labor Day for our family on Long Island meant welcoming the change of the season. We swapped summer screens for window panes. We cleaned our rooms from top to bottom. We didn’t know what was ahead but we were going to be ready…..welcoming the changes with open arms.  Well, that was the plan anyway.
