Want to be a more effective advocate for the planet and against climate change? Here is your chance!
The Georgia Chapters of Citizen’s Climate Lobby (CCL) will be holding a two-part Climate Advocacy Workshop at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Gwinnett (12 Bethesda Church Rd. in Lawrenceville) on June 11 and July 9.
CCL focuses on creating political will for a livable planet and fostering breakthroughs in individual voices. Everyday we read or hear of another negative impact of fossil fuel emissions, yet Congress has made few moves in the right direction. Come learn how you can accelerate lawmakers’ action through respectful and knowledgeable engagement with your elected representatives and community leaders, while meeting other committed climate “warriors”.
The hour-and-a-half-long workshops will be held following the regular Gwinnett CCL meetings, beginning at 2PM.
