September 21st is the International Day of Peace, and this year marks the 25th anniversary of the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of the Declaration and Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace.

A local Sikh temple, Guru Nanak Mission Society; the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community; the City of Knowledge Islamic School; UUCG, and other groups are hosting an interfaith Peace Festival on Saturday, September 21st from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Sikh Gurdwara located at 1158 Rockbridge Rd, in Norcross.

Please join us to meet our neighbors of different faiths, learn more about each other’s traditions, and explore ways that we can create peace together.

  • From 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the Festival begins with an interfaith welcome, music, food, and activity tables.
  • From 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., faith leaders will share the basics of each tradition that will help us arrive at peace for all, and there will be breakout conversations about peaceful methods of communication and more.
