This will be a potluck dinner in honor of our Beloved Dead, both Human and Animal.

7:30-8pm The decoration and preparation of the tables is part of the ceremony. Bring pictures or small belongings(jewelry, sacred tools, collars, favorite toys) of your Beloveds. Bring candles if you have them, Red, White, or Black, and a Sacred tool of your own to be blessed by the ceremony(athame, tarot deck, wand, chalice, stone, ring, etc.)

Bring a dish of your Beloved’s favorite food to share with the group. Please say what you’re bringing when you sign up so that we can round out the meal.

8pm The front door will be locked. This is so there is no interruption of the silent part of the ceremony. You will fill your plate in the kitchen. Silence begins when you enter the Sanctuary.

There will be two empty plates at the head of the table representing the God, the Goddess and our Beloved Dead. Put a teaspoon size amount of a vegan food(fruit, veggies, bread) on the Goddess’ plate. That will be taken outside and used as an offering to the land. You may participate in this if you wish, but it is not necessary. Place a bite of your Beloved’s favored food on the plate in front of the God’s seat. This will be disposed of in a Sacred manner.

Light a small candle for each beloved in the center of the table. Once we are all seated, a bell will be rung. Read the poem you have chosen (there will be several to choose from) silently to yourself and begin eating your dinner, holding your Beloved in your heart and mind.

When people finish eating dinner, a bell will be rung again. Silence is over. Get some dessert and fill your glass. (Optional for everyone)We will take turns talking about our Beloveds and why we chose to honor them during this ceremony.

Afterwards we will wash our plates individually and put the Sanctuary back together. This is the dismantling of our Sacred space. All should contribute.

This ritual is open to any one of any age who can keep silent for the 20 minutes of the communing part. There is no childcare scheduled for this event.
