The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Gwinnett (UUCG) Faith Development Team invites congregants and friends to visit the National Memorial for Peace & Justice, as well as the Legacy Museum: From Enslavement to Mass Incarceration to bear witness to the horrors of the domestic slave trade, racial terrorism, the Jim Crow South, and the world’s largest prison system.

During our visit we will become more deeply informed of all the various works of the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) and get involved with their Community Remembrance Project: a campaign to recognize the victims of lynching by collecting soil from lynching sites, erecting historical markers, and creating a national memorial that acknowledges the horrors of racial injustice.

Together we can be the seed that grows a coalition to enact powerful changes here in Gwinnett County.
