February 10:

Exploring Logical Fallacies

Have you ever read an article or had a conversation and thought, that doesn’t sound right? Have you encountered a theological argument that just doesn’t make sense? There are lots of ways to construct logical arguments and to think about reasoning, so we need to understand which ones are logical and which aren’t.
There are common fallacies in religion, politics and culture that we need to understand so we can counter them. This will help us improve our reasoning and discourse. We will discuss fallacies such as the naturalistic fallacy, tu quoque, the argument from ignorance, and the ever popular No True Scotsman. Bring your favorite to the discussion!
