Whether we are aware of it or not, trees are magnificent and life giving beings who share this planet with us. They are not optional beings.  They actually keep the atmosphere that we need and the ground on which we walk in place and sustain us moment by moment. Trees have been at this for millions of years. At this CUUPS ritual for the blessing of trees, we will offer a blessing to the trees in our grove behind UUCG, and give blessings to trees that are special to each of us who gather.

 

We invite you to bring a small bit of bread and wine (or grape juice) as offerings to the trees; drums and rattles to help with the ritual, and if you like, a camp chair for sitting in the grove.
